Any store

save products from anywhere, not just Amazon

01The challenge

Gift lists all over the place.

Wantzit started with a very parent problem. Kids send a stream of random product links, and relatives ask for wishlists that only work if everything comes from Amazon. There was no easy way to save things from any store in one place and share the list with the people who need it.

02My role

Brand and UX, end to end.

I own the brand and the user experience end to end: identity, visual design, UX/UI, the frontend, and marketing and social. Matt owns the backend and infrastructure.

03Process

How it came together.

01

Brand

A bright, playful identity with a six-color palette built for a product that’s about gifts and happy moments.

02

UX

Flows for saving from any retailer, organizing lists and sharing them without friction.

03

Build

Designed in Figma and built in Next.js and React Native, so design decisions went straight into code.

04

Keep it working

Stores change their sites all the time, which breaks product scraping, so keeping the data pipeline healthy is ongoing work.

05What’s next

We are still working on WantzIt, we are constantly evolving and adjusting the UX and backend.
